New Kitchens for Culinary Arts Building

Project Description
The Long Beach City College project included construction of eight individual culinary teaching classrooms, a simulation restaurant and coffee bar. Our team installed approximately 500 pieces of cooking equipment and managed the logistics which involved scheduling and on-site supervision during the installation.

Project Highlight
TriMark R.W. Smith helped develop a state-of-the-art culinary facility, giving students an opportunity to advance their cooking techniques in a professional-grade restaurant kitchen.

High Desert Regional Health Center

Opened in June 2014

Site
The new state-of-the art medical facility opened in June 2014 to better serve patients and meet community needs for primary and specialty care services. The new county Regional Health Center is a 142,000 square-foot ambulatory care center that provides a broad range of diagnostic and treatment services, coordinated outpatient services, including adult and pediatric primary care, urgent care, specialty care and outpatient surgery.

Project Description
TriMark R.W. Smith was the commercial kitchen design-build partner. The total project cost was more than $141 million, which included a design-build contract value at nearly $99 million.

Camp Pendleton Edson Range and Chappo Dining Facilities

The Edson Range and Chappo dining halls serve recruits and officers alike at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.

Project Description
TriMark R.W. Smith served as the commercial kitchen design assist partner allowing the facilities to now serve over 5,000 meals per day.

Project Highlight
Located in the highly sunlit micro-climate of Southern California, both facilities have now achieved LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council following their kitchen remodeling project. These projects led to multiple awards including:

• 2014 ACEC North Carolina Engineering Excellence Honor Award

• 2014 APWA San Diego / Imperial Chapter Project of the Year in Structures between $26-$75M

• 2014 ASCE San Diego Award of Excellence – Land Development (Rick Engineering)

San Diego County Women’s Detention Facility

Project Description
TriMark R.W. Smith was the design-build partner for both the commercial foodservice and commercial laundry facilities.

Project Highlight
John Parker, project executive for Balfour Beatty Construction stated, “We all broke down traditional barriers by embodying a team attitude and integrating everyone as critical stakeholders and partners throughout the entire design and construction process. In fact, we scored 9.7 out of 10 possible points on a partnering scorecard used by the County to rate our performance. Those results speak to the fact that everyone was 100% vested. I’m proud to have been part of this outstanding team, which also delivered an exceptionally safe project.”

Collections-based educational and research institution with an endowment of more than $400 million.

Project Description

TriMark R.W. Smith was the commercial kitchen design-build partner for the recent $60 million restoration and construction of the Steven S. Koblik Education and Visitors Center.

Project Highlight

We restored and upgraded a commercial kitchen at one of the wealthiest cultural institutions in the United States.

California Lutheran University

The brand new Ullman Dining Commons offers students an array of meal options; including a made-to-order Mongolian Grill, brick pizza oven, salad and fruit bar, deli counter, classic grill, pasta bar, and a fresh bakery. The advanced digital ordering system allows students to customize each meal.

TriMark R.W. Smith completed a 20,000 square foot, $15 million dining facility commercial kitchen project.

Viejas Casino & Resort

Site
The Four Diamond Viejas Casino & Resort features slot machines, exciting table games, a high-stakes bingo room and an off-track betting facility. Viejas Casino & Resort also features a variety of restaurants including the award-winning Grove Steakhouse, The Buffet and The Café.

Project Description
TriMark R.W. Smith has been the design-build partner on multiple new construction and remodeling projects, including the new $50 million luxury Hotel Tower expansion.

Project Highlight
We provided the design-build services for the casino’s new South Tower including their new banquet kitchen, main casino floor bar and pool bar.

Project Description
TriMark R.W. Smith serves as the design-build partner to the Lemonade chain by delivering a complete turnkey program for design, new construction and resupply for the lemonade system.

Project Highlight
A partner to this exciting expanding chain, we continue to design and build new locations to a current total of 11 Lemonade restaurants.

Bakersfield Memorial Hospital

Bakersfield Memorial Hospital underwent expansion by adding a five-story tower, an additional 70,000 square feet of space, and new dining facilities.

Project Description
As the kitchen equipment contractor, TriMark R.W. Smith built and outfitted the commercial kitchen while adhering to healthcare standards and optimizing efficiency.

Successfully met all OSHPOD, Health and State requirements for the new kitchen.

Tustin High School

The school’s existing cafeteria required an overhaul and complete renovation.

We were part of the construction team that helped transform an original and aged cafeteria into a new top-of-the-line eating area for the Tustin High School students.

The Fabulous Forum

Madison Square Garden remodeled The Fabulous Forum and reinvented the facility to become an all concert venue that bridges its iconic past with today’s state of the art amenities and technology.

Project Description
TriMark R.W. Smith served as the design-build partner for the commercial kitchen and foodservice outlets throughout this historic renovation.

Project Highlight
We provided state-of-the-art integrated cantilevered underbar systems, housing remote beer and beverage systems. Team also developed 70 specialty food and beverage carts to be utilized on the Forum’s exterior terraces.

We worked with the ownership to stay within budget, and in the process provided an on-time opening with exceptional kitchen design and service.

Global Cuisine by Gary Arabia

Project Description
TriMark R.W. Smith is proud to serve as the design-build partner and commercial kitchen supplier. Our latest project, the GC Marketplace, is a hybrid cafe and retail shop with a coffee bar, wine bar, boulangerie, and cheese/charcuterie area, offering an eclectic mix of flavors, textures, and spices from around the world.

Project Highlight
We designed, built and equipped the prototype restaurant which showcases an exhibition style kitchen and wine bar within a market atmosphere.

Hotel Irvine

TriMark R.W. Smith is a design-build partner to The Irvine Company and has served as the commercial kitchen equipment contractor for several projects at Hotel Irvine.

Project Description
The stylish, multi-functional dining establishment is the perfect place to enjoy a bite or take one to go. It is one part farmer’s market, one part gift shop, and 100% inviting. This oasis of freshness is bursting with locally-sourced food.

Project Highlight
The latest renovation resulted in a new concept that transformed the offerings at Hotel Irvine. The new market project included a barista outlet, hot deli and a full display of sundries and prepackaged snacks.

Hyatt Huntington Beach

The Watertable Restaurant is a unique blend of old and new, rustic and refined, food and drink that we see as “essential pairs,” in both design and cuisine, to appeal to the evolving palates of guests.

Project Description
The Watertable Restaurant is a multipurpose dining facility that evolves throughout the day – designed and outfitted by TriMark R.W. Smith.

Project Highlight
This establishment now features a Gastro Pantry and Bar with breakfast by day and cocktails by night, a living room with a firewall and tables for lounging, a family kitchen with an active station for cooking demos and private events, and an outdoor patio with ocean views.
